The location for the Guinea Pig’s cage or house should be in a quiet and safe area that has consistent air circulation and is neither too cool nor hot. Guinea’s prefer to exist in approximately 65 degrees Fahrenheit, so therefore the temperature needs to be controlled and adjusted in times of hot or cold periods. In cooler climates blankets can be used to cover the cage to provide added warmth. In the opposite climate an ice pack can be fitted to the bottom of the cage.
